Get To Know Us

Throughout my life, curiosity has often led me to invite the question, “tell me more about that?”‍ ‍

Long before I became a therapist, I was captivated by the stories people carry and the ways our experiences quietly shape who we become.

One of the greatest privileges of this work is getting to discover these parts of ourselves alongside my clients. If you work with me, you'll quickly learn that I believe therapy can be both meaningful and human. We'll have conversations that are thoughtful and honest, but there will also be room for laughter, curiosity, and moments that surprise us.

I see the therapy process as getting to know yourself so that you can begin making choices from a place of awareness, rather than old patterns. As a certified yoga instructor, mindfulness is woven into the way I practice, gently inviting us to slow down, notice what's happening beneath the surface, and meet ourselves with compassion instead of criticism.

Outside of therapy, you'll usually find me on a yoga mat, dreaming about my next trip, or expressing myself through fashion. I see personal style as another form of storytelling: one that celebrates authenticity, creativity, and the courage to take up space as yourself. My hope is that from the moment you arrive, you feel safe enough to take a deep breath, settle in, and know that every part of you is welcome here.

Gigi Shami

Long before I became a therapist, I was a client. My own experience with therapy showed me what it feels like to be deeply understood while being challenged to grow, and it changed the course of my life.

My approach is simple: get curious about the parts of you instead of judging them. When we understand ourselves and hold compassion for the parts that have carried pain, we can start working toward becoming who you're meant to be.

Together, we'll work collaboratively to understand your past and rewrite your narrative, creating new patterns that align with your authentic self and finding the formula to heal your inner critic.

No quick fixes, no scripts, just a dedicated space to slow down and examine the patterns, attachments, and beliefs shaping your life. Curiosity, patience, and the relationship we build together are at the heart of it all.

I'm a Florida native with Middle Eastern roots, and I earned my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College.

Today, I feel incredibly grateful to walk alongside people as they make sense of their stories, experience those "aha" moments, and begin relating to themselves with more understanding.

Outside of the therapy room, I have 2 dogs and 3 cats, and I love thrifting, cooking, staying active, and being a true Floridian, whether that's a day at the beach or a long walk outdoors. You can always catch me watching Bravo, reality TV is my guilty pleasure!

Come as you are.

We’ll start there.
